Washing Your Car

Here are some tips to make car washing easier

Make sure your car is cool, if possible work in the shade. A hot surface causes the wash and rinse water to evaporate too quickly, increasing the likelihood of water spotting. One trick is to park on a slight incline, this allows the rinse water to run off moldings, trim, and recessed areas better.

We recommend that you start with your tires, this way the water will not dry on your car,.When complete remember to change the water before you move on to the rest of the car.

Start washing your vehicle by thoroughly wetting the finish with a medium spray of water to remove loses grit and surface dirt. Spot treat bugs, tar, sap, and bird stains, for stubborn spots on your paint use an insect remove or a pre wash cleaner designed for car finishes. Next start washing the vehicle from the top and work you way down doing this ensures that you will not grab any left over road debris to the upper surfaces. Never let soap dry on the finish, be sure to keep vehicle wet during the complete washing process.

Dry the car with a clean towel or chamois, always use car wash soap household dish detergent is to harsh for auto finishes.

Do not forget those windows a good glass cleaning and newspaper works best ( not the color pages)

You can finish off your car with a good spray detailer that can be obtained at a local auto parts supplies store.
